For me, art is a dialogue between color and thought.
a bridge between memory and imagination.
My Artistic Philosophy

Whether through the fluid transparency of watercolor or the bold spontaneity of acrylics, I follow instinct first, then refine. Each piece is an invitation to step into my inner spaces — to share not just what I create, but what I live.

An Artist Shaped by Light and Memory

About me

From the vibrant colors of Iran to a new creative home in the United States

I am Vida Tavahodi, an Iranian artist shaped by the vibrant colors of my homeland — a land of turquoise domes, warm southern sun, the ever-blue Persian Gulf, and memories rich with light and imagination.

I spent my early years in a sun-drenched city in southern Iran, surrounded by nature, family, and beauty — the roots of my creative soul.

Now living in Indianapolis, USA, I bring those colors, memories, and inner landscapes into my work. Through watercolor, acrylic, thread, or pencil, I paint what I feel more than what I see — capturing moments of silence, solitude, joy, and reflection.

The People Behind My Art

Throughout this journey, the constant encouragement of my son, the heartfelt support of my family, and the companionship of dear friends have been a quiet but powerful force behind my growth as an artist. Their belief in me has been a source of strength and inspiration.

Alongside them, my kind and supportive husband has stood by my side, offering encouragement and calm that have helped me stay focused and continue creating with clarity and heart. His presence has become a meaningful part of this new chapter.
